Volunteer

Make a difference in your community, and volunteer with us

Did you know that volunteering is good for your mind and body? Perhaps, the biggest benefit of volunteering is the satisfaction of making a difference in the community. The intangible benefits alone – such as pride, satisfaction, and accomplishment – are reason enough to volunteer.

There are many reasons to volunteer within LCAP and our community:

Giving your time to others can make you feel like you have more time. You feel less time-constrained than wasting your time, spending it on yourself or just sitting around doing nothing.

Volunteering leads to better health.   It helps lower mortality rates, provides greater functional ability, and lower rates of depression later in life than those who do not volunteer. Not to mention providing a healthy boost to your self-confidence and life satisfaction.

Volunteering also helps develop new skills and talents.  Learning new things can benefit you in your chosen career, a new career, or even in changing careers.

By volunteering with Licking County Aging Partners, your experience will be self-satisfying as you contribute to the happiness of our senior friends…and help out our staff too!
