    • August 21, 2014 – Annual Ice Cream Social

      The annual Ice Cream Social, this time to benefit the senior services renewal levy, is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 in the banquet rooms at Heritage Hall Senior Center. Brian Oaks and Heartland Express and Crystal City Chorus will provide entertainment. The family event will feature great food, Velvet Ice Cream and family activities. The long-time East End tradition also includes door prizes and 50-50s.

      Are you confused about Medicare or have the need for an overview about this important senior program? Then the Licking County Aging Program has just what the doctor ordered. An overview of Medicare will be presented during "Medicare Check-Up Day" 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 29, presented by the Senior Health Insurance Information Program. No reservations necessary.

    • September 9, 2014 – Hayley Watson Music Show

      Hayley Watson of Zanesville is an accomplished singer who wowed the crowd at a wintertime Friday Fling at Heritage Hall. Now she is returning for a one-hour performance from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9 in the banquet room. We will serve light refreshments. Reservations required by Sept. 1.     • September 11, 2014 – Matter of Balance Workshop

      Death from falls is the leading cause of fatalities among seniors in Ohio. A very valuable workshop will be held on Thursdays from 2 to 4 p.m. starting Sept. 11 and continuing through Oct. 30 designed to enhance senior safety and prevent falls. You will learn valuable ways to safeguard your home and learn motion exercises to increase strength and balance. This is a presentation of LCAP and the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging. Registration is required by Sept. 4. Call LCAP at 345-0821 or 1-800-452-0097 and ask to speak to the Activities Department.
