      The AARP Driver Safety Class focuses on driving issues associated with aging, new car features and new laws. There is no threat to your license. It is all classroom instruction. The class runs from 1 to 5 p.m. March 25th in Conference rooms A & B. Cost is $10 for AARP members and $15 for non-members. The class could result in a slight deduction in your premiums, but check with your agent first. Course taught by AARP instructor Rick Grove.       The LCAP Breakfast Club holds its first Spring gathering at the Bob Evans on Cherry Valley Road at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 25th. We begin showing up at 8:30 a.m. You are responsible for your own meal payment. But you will enjoy coffee, breakfast, fellowship, jokes and good conversation. New members welcome...you will get an official LCAP Breakfast Club button.

      The exceptional students of the Granville High School Steel Drum Band will perform at 11 a.m. March 27th at the Friday Fling. The Heritage Hall banquet rooms will be transformed into a tropical paradise. Tickets are $1 and include the entertainment and lunch. Tickets sold at front desk March 2 through March 20th.

Daylight Savings Time officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8. That means you need to turn your clocks ahead before going to bed on Saturday night. This is also another sign of spring’s long-anticipated arrival. According to an Accuweather forecaster, the snowstorm of March 4 (which was smaller than forecast) should be winter’s “caboose.” Oh Happy Days!

County Western Hoedown was Howling

Boy Howdy! Did everybody have a good time at the Friday Fling. It was a country western hoedown featuring the remarkable performance of Brenda Sue and the Out-of-Towners.
